Bernard Gottschalk, also known as Dr. G, has served as the full-time medical director at Wilmington Treatment Center since 2005. Dr. G was born in Pittsburgh, PA and received his M.D from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981. He also completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. At Emory University, he completed a Hematology/Oncology fellowship. Dr. G has earned certifications with the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, The American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventative Medicine. Dr. G is also an avid outdoorsman, enjoys cycling, reading and recommends living mindfully.
